Your Foundation: Professional Governance and Oversight

HighView will work closely with the Foundation’s Investment Committee to frame governance processes that ensure the Investment Committee is fulfilling its fiduciary duty with respect to the development, approval, and oversight of the investment strategy deployed to meet the Foundation’s investment goals and objectives.

These processes will include timely and accurate reporting which speaks to and aligns with the approved investment policy adopted by the Foundation.

An effective IPS is a living document that evolves, over time, with the needs of the Foundation. It will include:

  • Goals and objectives of the Foundation
  • Risk parameters and restrictions at the portfolio level as well as at the mandate level
  • Allocation strategy across investment mandates
  • Sub-advisors employed to manage each mandate
  • Rebalancing policies including ranges by mandate
  • Measures of success/ benchmarking metrics at the portfolio  and mandate levels
  • Reporting and administrative parameters to support governance requirements

A structured process that is aligned with the goals and objectives of the Foundation provides the transparency essential to fulfilling the duty entrusted to the trustees.
