Greg Rodger has over 20 years of experience in
the Canadian wealth management industry. His
experience has encompassed nearly every aspect of
the investment management business including
equity and fixed income research, economic
analysis, non-traditional investment analysis,
real estate, private lending, and private equity.
Greg has served in senior management roles as
well as worked directly with private clients,
trusts and foundations. Greg is currently
responsible for the managed asset programs of
HighView.
After spending most of his career with bank owned
Investment Counseling firms, in early 2005 Greg
took on the challenging role of Chief Investment
Officer for a Family Office. In this role Greg is
responsible for setting and implementing the
overall investment policy for a family’s on-shore
and off-shore assets which includes both
traditional and non-traditional investments. In
addition to setting policy, Greg is also
responsible for selecting the appropriate
external managers to fulfill specific mandates.
Prior to joining the Family Office, Greg was
Regional Vice President at RBC Private Counsel
where he had direct responsibility for the firm’s
investment counseling operations in Ontario, was
a key member of the national executive team, was
a Board member of a U.S. affiliate, and looked
after some of the firm’s largest private clients.
Prior to RBC, Greg held a similar role at CT
Private Investment Counsel where he helped
transform that business from a traditional Trust
Company style of investment management to an open
architecture investment counseling firm.
Greg earned a BA in economics from the University
of Toronto in 1985, and in 1991 was awarded the
Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA). He
is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto
CFA Society.
