Chris has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and is well known as a leader in quantitative portfolio management of North American equity securities. His disciplined investment techniques have been employed by a number of Canada's leading investment management firms to ensure investors achieve optimal investment returns with a minimum of risk. While passionate about equity management, as Chief Investment Officer his core competency surrounds macro market strategies and asset allocation. Chris has been active in the development and management of asset mix teams for a number of investment counsel and institutional sponsors.
Through the 1990’s, Chris acted as Director, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of a multi-billion dollar investment counseling firm advising institutional pension and endowment funds. Over the past five years, Chris has been President and Chief Investment Officer of a boutique equity investment firm. Among others, over the past eight years Chris has been very active in helping the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) manage their portfolio of funds. He is presently a member of the five person COC Investment Committee. Following his studies in mathematics, He has had the good fortune to have studied with some of the leading business strategists of our time - like Michael Porter and Peter Drucker - to gain valuable insight into how management strategy drives shareholder value. Chris is an avid athlete with a background in professional hockey. He is a member of Credit Valley Golf and Country Club where he continues to hone his golf and bridge skills.
