At HighView Financial Group, we’re against buying sector funds. As Dan notes, “The argument for the concept is to get some tilt — some advantage — in the portfolio. But it is dangerous. Sector funds are more likely to have extreme performance. It is better to leave the sector allocations to the managers of broad market equity funds.”
